Last week we spent a few days in the Dolomites around Cortina with the intention of training on the Lavaredo trails and running some of the more punishing parts of that course. Unfortunately we got dumped on by what the locals told us was quite unusual amounts of snow. So that turned the trails into a some slightly treacherous fun.
We couldn’t get above 1600m and most of the Lavaredo course was impassible. But we made the most of the paths we could access and had some fun in the unexpected May snow.
